About

GAP Hire Solutions is the UK’s largest independent hire company with over 145 locations strategically placed across the UK. The company has ten divisions offering a wide range of equipment hire and services – Plant, Tools, Non-Mechanical, Trenching & Shoring, Lifting & TIC, Welfare Services, Tanker Services, Survey & Safety, Event Services and Vehicle Hire. GAP was established in 1969 and remains family owned, providing the company with the ability to focus on customer requirements, supported by fast decision making and long-term business plans. GAP is committed to reducing its environmental impact and is working towards achieving net-zero emissions by 2040. The company is constantly working with various stakeholders to fulfil this goal whilst also helping its customers reduce their environmental impact.

GAP Tanker Services is the hire company’s newest division after being established in 2020. GAP has a large fleet of welfare tankers ranging from 4×4’s, 3.5t, 7.5t and 26t, all of which can empty, clean and sanitise customers’ toilets, welfare vans and welfare units (mobile or static) whenever required. GAP can accommodate any septic tank cleaning needs, whether regular visits or an ad-hoc service is necessary, at customers’ homes, businesses or onsite – even if they didn’t hire or source the facilities from GAP.
