“This is an exciting opportunity to demonstrate sustainability in the way we do business – from an environmental, social and governance perspective. The challenge of working towards a low-carbon future, stewarding natural capital and continuing to add value for all our stakeholders is one that we are rising to.”

Ed Mitchell, Pennon Director of Environment and Sustainability, said: “We’re pleased to welcome Dan to this strategic role. Dan has held senior positions with Viridor, most recently as Director of Regulatory Affairs, and brings a depth of knowledge and experience in the field of sustainability and environmental management.

“We aim to uphold the highest standards of corporate responsibility, for the benefit of our customers, communities, employees, suppliers and our investors, and this addition to the team will help us to continue to demonstrate that.”
